Dashboard, Health and Cluster Status
The eEKAS dashboard and Cluster Status view are the first operational views administrators should check after login. Together they show system runtime, cluster health, node availability, Ceph status, cluster drive status and service counts.
What the Cluster Status View Shows

| Cluster Status | Shows whether Ceph is healthy and whether all nodes are online. |
| Node table | Lists node name, rack, status, maintenance action, heartbeat IP, replication IP, Ceph server state and IP groups. |
| Maintenance | Provides a controlled way to switch a node into maintenance mode. |
| Heartbeat IP | Management/heartbeat network used to monitor node availability. |
| Replication IP | Cluster replication network used for Ceph traffic. |
| Ceph Server | Indicates whether the Ceph services on the node are running. |
Healthy State in the Test Cluster
The test cluster showed five nodes online: EEKASBG-1 through EEKASBG-5. Each node reported Ceph Server as Running. Heartbeat addresses used the 192.168.0.x network and replication addresses used the 10.10.10.x network.
A healthy operational state should normally show all expected nodes online, Ceph healthy, Ceph Server running on all expected nodes and no unexpected maintenance mode.
Daily Operational Check
- Confirm that all expected nodes are online.
- Confirm that Ceph is healthy.
- Verify that Ceph Server is Running on each expected node.
- Check heartbeat and replication IPs for consistency.
- Review whether any node is in maintenance mode.
- Continue with Ceph Status if any warning appears.
When to Investigate
Investigate before making configuration changes if a node is offline, a Ceph Server is not running, a node is unexpectedly in maintenance mode, heartbeat or replication IPs are wrong, or Ceph is not healthy.
